About Us

Richard and Liz Sims started Sims' Futon Gallery (now Carolina Futons) in 1991 in the city of Hendersonville, NC. The Sims gained a loyal customer base with their honesty and integrity, fair pricing, great selection of high-quality products, and outstanding service in their 30 years in business. After making the decision to retire in 2021, Brenda and Howard Deal saw the opportunity to continue these same principles that attract new customers as well as previous customers to shop locally. Bobby (pup pictured below) does his part in greeting and helping customers sample the futon mattresses!

We take the time to show and demonstrate our quality wood collection of Murphy cabinets, futon frames, and platform beds and accessories; our selection of Otis high-density foam mattresses; and over 700 swatches of our premium lines of fabric for choosing a custom futon cover.
